I love Persian food and guys as much as Indian food and guys.. I found this amazing recipe for Persian Rice.. its really simple and turns out so pretty and fluffly…
You will Need:
- 2 cups basmati rice
- 1/4 cup butter, plus little more for serving
- 5 tablespoons sunflower oil
- 1 1” cinnamon stick
- 2 green cardamom pods, lightly crushed
- 2 cloves
- 1 1/2 cups mixture of fresh dill, cilantro, and mint, roughly chopped
- salt and pepper
So there are two ways to do this the slow way.. which takes like at least four hours to do.. or the easy way.. I do the easy way. In order to do that you have to cook and cool your rice ahead of time… If no time u can cook rice, once done u can run it over with cold water, until rice has cooled!
Then, add the butter and oil into pan or wok until starting to bubble, add the cinnamon, cloves, and cardamom seeds. once toasted and fragrant, add in your cooled rice, and cook stirring frequently until rice is piping hot. Add your chopped fresh herbs. Stir-fry for about 2 to 3 more minutes. Season with salt and pepper.. and serve…
enjoy!!
